A story like this comes out every once in a while where we have animals predicting the winners of sports match ups. It usually hits a peak somewhere around the Super Bowl and we have a new contender this year who is BLAZING HOT at the moment.
This Corgi, @aircorg on TikTok, is currently 4-0 on the Lakers vs Warriors series right now…
It’s even predicted the order of the wins correctly: splitting the first two and then having the Lakers take a 3-1 lead… which as of today is a perfect 4/4.
But this little doggo is channeling it’s inner Oracle and warning us about the future… predicting that a 3-1 comeback win for the Warriors. LeBron vs the Warriors and a 3-1 lead? Sounds familiar right??
I never watched much of the NBA or other major sports growing up outside of the MLB and honestly just NCAA football not even the NFL (just a typical southern sports fan experience.) But I saw this block live, all alone in a college apartment, and that moment will live on in my head forever. It turned me into a broader sports fan in the sense that it really turned me on to enjoying watching all sports for what they are. Say what you want about the guy, but LeBron is one of the GOATs, and coming up in that moment to help bring home the first ever 3-1 comeback in the finals and to get a ring for Cleveland was all-time awesome to watch.
And now this little fkin Corgi just wants to shove more Warriors down our throat, giving them sweet sweet revenge against the man who proved to that team that no 3-1 lead is safe…
It’s not that I hate the Warriors, maybe I just have a little fatigue seeing them carry on. Like the Patriots and Alabama football. I really appreciate the product and their games, but I’m just kinda over it.
It’s still early, we have 3 more games to see if @aircorg can cement it’s legacy amongst the historical GOATs of animal sports predictors like Larry the Goldfish or the OG Paul the Octopus. I guess only time will tell..
